CR/Threads IC Inbox Permissions Info Credit Isaac Gray Being adopted by a certain priest has changed Isaac's life dramatically. He's religious, he can read, he's somewhat kind and he tries to be gentle. However, he has been known to shy away from people out of fear and self loathing. Isaac's still not the best at planning, and he still has the urge to kill anyone who shows him joy... Perhaps it will help if he saves his bloodlust for the "sinners..."

physical contact This will confuse Isaac. But go for it.
romance Isaac tends to shy away from relationships. He's afraid he'll get too close and end up hurting someone he loves. However, if you are gentle and patient with him, he may warm up to your character. It just takes time for him to trust.
fighting Be warned: Isaac will fight you if he gets pushed too far, and when he fights, he is vicious. He is human, but he is pretty strong for a human and he will not hesitate to mess your character up. Fight at your own risk.
injuries or death I will allow injuries if you ask (no dismemberment) but try not to kill him.
timeline He's mainly an [community profile] entranceway AU where Zack was found by Gray at an early age and adopted.

• My biggest concern about this character is his violent and potentially murderous tendencies. He tries to restrain himself, but sometimes he just... Snaps. There's also the issue of his death traps, which are less likely to occur unless plotted.
• Isaac shares most of Zack's tragic backstory, which is just reeking of child abuse/neglect. Then there is the whole torture bit, if not through Isaac's death traps, then his "coworkers'" methods. Factor in his adoptive father, Gray, and you're also dealing with people getting drugged. Hey, I never claimed the original canon was sunshine and rainbows.
• Due to Isaac's upbringing in Gray's care, he has become very religious. It's not clear what branch of Christianity he practices, but if you aren't comfortable with religious themes I can tone it down. You can also opt out of having Issac attempt to exorcise any perceived demons from your character. That's not a euphemism for murder, this is a literal exorcism attempt.

TITLE SUBTITLE For every person who is brought to Wonderland, a mirror reflection is created by the Queen of Hearts. These Mirrors exist only to serve her, but sometimes she gives them false memories that form little backstories for them.

This is what the Mirror of Issac Foster remembers...

Yes, he did get burned alive as a child. Yes, he was sent to an unlicensed orphanage with horrible living conditions. Yes, he did stab the proprietors to death and escape. The story does not end there, however, for a week after that he had chased an innocent woman into a church and slaughtered her in the pews.

The commotion attracted the attention of a certain priest, who condemned young Issac for his brutality in the holy sanction of God. Issac responded by pulling his knife on the priest, ready to fight yet visibly frightened, shouting that he will not be treated like a worthless monster anymore. In that moment, the priest realized this boy simply didn't know any better and took pity. He gently offered to help him, to give him what he wanted, what he needed, if he spared his life...

Thus, the Reverend Gray adopted Issac as his son. As the years passed, Issac seemed to become quite different from the savage child from the orphanage. Thanks to receiving proper education from the church, Issac is literate to a degree and can recognize some Latin phrases. He's a reserved sort of person, a somewhat gentle sort who is so grateful for his new life he had turned to religion himself...

And yet, the beast remains. Issac isn't sure why, but he still gets the urge to kill people who are just oh so happy, or people whom he just can't stand. He tries to control himself, but no matter how much he prays he occasionally loses control. The blood on his hands frightens him, and he fears he might hurt someone close to him one day.

That's why he volunteered himself as a Floor Master in his "father's" murder building. By focusing his energy on "sacrifices," Issac aims to hunt down the sinners, while sparing the innocent. His methods are varied. When the sacrifices are first led to floor B6, they are forced to enter a series of cruel death traps, to see if they can figure out how to escape. There's always a solution; Issac is willing to give vague hints if he has to. After all, he's waiting at the end, scythe in hand, ready to hunt the unfortunate sinners down. If he likes you, he may give you a five second head start. Most of the time, his sacrifices have only three seconds to run before the killer comes after them and tears them apart.

It was a brutal existence, but it satisfied his need to kill... Right?

His relationship with the others isn't so different from his real, but for different reasons. Ray, for example, he sees as more of a restraint than a guide. Yet he does appreciate their similarities such as a respect for God, even though going through the building with her has him starting to question his own faith....

This is me, I guess.

I guess I'll just say something about my "Real" ([personal profile] zackthekiller) since I already know myself too well. I'm a little scared of him, honestly. If it hadn't been for Father, would I have ended up like him? Poor guy. I kind of wish he could read, though. Can someone teach him?

Anyhow, this is where all my open posts will go.
05/10/17 | I tried to warn my fellow "Mirrors" of my "Real's" illiteracy. I hope they got the message.

05/15/17 | The Queen ordered us to "teach the Reals a lesson." I was obliged to help out any way I could. Unfortunately, my traps seemed to backfire quite a bit. Next time, I'll have to be more careful not to antagonize my peers.
